Building on land donated to Nexus Seminary by a local pastor, the mission house will provide an important base of operation in an area that is sparsely populated and difficult to travel to. Well provided to communities in Rakai District

The region around Pastor Alex’s church is arid, and working wells are few and far between. Friends of Nexus Seminary and Soul Fishing Ministries provided funds to dig a well to serve the communities of Kyabigondo and Kachwampale. A local church is hosting the well to help foster community support. Before digging this well, the community got water from a …

Wells for Drinking Water Repaired

During our recent mission trip to the Rakai region of Uganda, we witnessed firsthand the critical need for clean drinking water in local communities. Located in a semi-arid area, Rakai is facing a severe water crisis, with less than 25% of residents having reliable access to safe water, according to government sources. Unfortunately, most of the wells we inspected were …

Students sitting at new desks given by supporters of Friends of Nexus Seminary

Co-workers of Alison Butler generously contributed to support her mission trip with Friends of Nexus Seminary. We taught and preached in Mokono, Seeta City, Kampala, Wampeweo, Kalanaglo, Dokolo, Mbale, Kikyusa, and Rakai — with some extra meetings with an MP from Zambia (whom BJ met on the plane to Addis Ababa), and a few Bishops. Our friend, Bishop Sam, is now actually leading the “Independent Gospel” churches in …

Ultrasound Provided to Local Clinic

Ultrasound system donated to Dr. Ibanda Moses

Friends of Nexus raised over $14000 that provided Dr. Ibanda Moses at his rural clinic with a portable ultrasound machine. This tool will improve prenatal care for many mothers in remote areas and positively impact mother and infant mortality rates.

UPDATE: The UltraSound machine is working perfectly, and both Moses and Monica have now been trained in its use. Here is a list of ways it helped last Saturday. Moses sent this report: “I wanted to inform you that the UltraSound machine started working today without any complications. We were able to work on 6 expecting mothers and their progress was normal and those with Diabetes and Hypertension were 4. I wanted to let you know about that progress and we cant thank you enough. May God richly bless you.
